     Clique em "Particular adjustment mode" botão.
     Selecione em "Waste ink pad counter" e clique no botão "OK".
     Clique em "Inicialização" botão eo programa vai reiniciar o contador de proteção.
     Desligue a impressora como um programa instruiu em seguida, ligue novamente.
     Clique em "Finish". e está feito!

PROCEDURAL Question of Brick Stacking

See the stacking formation of bricks above? How would  you think one could achieve this inside Blender? Any idea?



Python scripting could definitely give nice solutions of object stacking like above. At the moment, I am still working on my Python skill, so it is going to take a while if I actually write script. There is probably script out there that does similar thing. This is after all, a classic CG problem.

NO SCRIPTING WAY
So, if not scripted, maybe we should look for different ways we can achieve this?

Stacking of objects is actually an interesting Mathematical problem. To create a bricky structure that is truly procedural, using random size of objects, and stack it on top of one another without interpenetration happening between objects. Can the basic structure shape be based on a simple object supplied by user? (cylinder, taper, sphere, maybe alphabet letter)

Other objects that require stacking logic:
- Books
- Buildings
- Cardboard Boxes
- LEGO (of course!)
- Google Image Search (ever wonder how those image nicely stacked on top of each other?)

There are many possible solutions for this matters. I am interested to know your solution to this problem :)

Maybe:

• Use Bullet Physics? Just place objects and then let it dynamically relax.
• Maybe use NodeBox2 solution?
• Maybe you can just fake it using Boolean?
• Can we use Particles?

Perhaps just doing it by hand is also sufficient? Just provide few variations of stackings, mix them together into structure and then our eyes or brain cannot really tell the different.

PARTICLE SOLUTIONS:


Ok, here is one of easy solution hack for this.

We know that it is really easy to get a brick structure using Array Modifier. So we can start from that organized structure of bricks (ABOVE IMAGE: Top). Easy to do manually, just few seconds of setup.

Now, to actually randomize the structure, we then use Particle Group Instancing to replace each structured brick with a  randomized version of the bricks. Here, I supplied 4 different variation bricks.

By replacing each bricks with imperfect structure, you get something that is more or less random (ABOVE IMAGE : Bottom).

Further tweak, you continue apply all kind of randomness using Modifers.

• Displace Modifier
• Subdivide: Simple
• Displace Modifier
• Smooth: Iterate
• Displace Modifier
• and so on...

Furthermore, you can always go to the base and do manual tweak or sculpt it. This add more natural randomness.

Then next is just adding some procedural texture and displacement. By now, your eyes can no longer see the pattern and your brain will think that the brick model is more complex that it actually is.

Basic building block and template = SIMPLE. Mixing them together = will give you a more complex result.

BONUS: Voronoi Method

You can also do something like this using the Cell Fracture in Blender (get version 2.64 up).

This is kind of procedural too, but once-off Python script method.

In fact, the Cell Fracture is doing a lot of procedural hard work, Boolean and clever checking of overlapping and deletions. The resulting voronoi shards of Cell Fracture is not always 100% perfect, but it is pretty good.

Combine this kind of thing with Blender incoming Bullet Physics, it is just great.

BLENDER INSPIRED HOUDINI, HOUDINI INSPIRED BLENDER
All these kind procedural stuffs was actually inspired by Houdini artists.

The stacking can be done procedurally and in real time. It is the strength of procedural package like Houdini. But you know, Blender is also magical and awesome in my personal opinion.

It is fun to see Blender to work with other 3D tools and how you would approach one problem using all set of different tools.

The SELECT statement is used to select data from a database.

The result is stored in a result table, called the result-set.

SQL SELECT Syntax is
 

This statement select only one column of the database field.

SELECT column_name(s)  FROM table_name

This SQL statement select all the fields of the database using the (*) asterisk

SELECT * FROM table_name

Heres the sample SQL statement below.

A SQL SELECT statement can be broken down into numerous elements, each beginning with a keyword. Although it is not necessary, common convention is to write these keywords in all capital letters. In this article, we will focus on the most fundamental and common elements of a SELECT statement, namely

• SELECT
• FROM
• WHERE
• ORDER BY

The SELECT ... FROM Clause

The most basic SELECT statement has only 2 parts: (1) what columns you want to return and (2) what table(s) those columns come from.
If we want to retrieve all of the information about all of the customers in the Employees table, we could use the asterisk (*) as a shortcut for all of the columns, and our query looks like

SELECT * FROM Employees

If we want only specific columns (as is usually the case), we can/should explicitly specify them in a comma-separated list, as in

SELECT EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName, HireDate, City FROM EmployeesTable

The WHERE Clause

The next thing we want to do is to start limiting, or filtering, the data we fetch from the database. By adding a WHERE clause to the SELECT statement, we add one (or more) conditions that must be met by the selected data. This will limit the number of rows that answer the query and are fetched. In many cases, this is where most of the "action" of a query takes place.
We can continue with our previous query, and limit it to only those employees living in London:
SELECT EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName, HireDate, City FROM Employees WHERE City = London

The ORDER BY Clause

Until now, we have been discussing filtering the data: that is, defining the conditions that determine which rows will be included in the final set of rows to be fetched and returned from the database. Once we have determined which columns and rows will be included in the results of our SELECT query, we may want to control the order in which the rows appear—sorting the data.
To sort the data rows, we include the ORDER BY clause. The ORDER BY clause includes one or more column names that specify the sort order. If we return to one of our first SELECT statements, we can sort its results by City with the following statement:

SELECT EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName, HireDate, City FROM EmployeesTable
ORDER BY City

Taseer murder case Qadri sentenced to death

RAWALPINDI: Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri, the self-confessed murderer of former Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer, has been sentenced to death by an anti-terrorism court today (Saturday).

Qadri, one of Taseer’s elite force guards, shot and killed the governorfor his views on the blasphemy law outside a restaurant in Islamabad.

During the incamera hearing of the murder case, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) said that it was a heinous crime and there is no justification to it; however, no date has been given for the execution of the sentence. The court also fined Qadri of Rs200,000 along with the death sentence.

Justice Syed Pervez Ali Shah, an ATC judge, while taking up the case at the Adiala Jail, noted down the statement of Qadri. In this statement, Qadri admitted before the judge that nobody intimidated him to murder the former governor.

Raja Shujahur Rehman, Qadri’s lawyer, told the media outside Adiala Jail that his client had also submitted a written statement of 40 pages, referring to 11 Quranic verses, 28 quotes from Sunnah and several other eminent Muslim jurists with reference to Islamic jurisprudence.

The defence lawyer stated that the prosecution raised no objection over the statement of Qadri, therefore the court validly admitted this statement and made it a part of the court record.

Experts say that Qadri has to appeal within seven days against the verdict.

Tears of anger

Qadri’s supporters took to the streets to denounce the sentence soon after it was handed down.

“By punishing one Mumtaz Qadri, you will produce a thousand Mumtaz Qadris!” one man shouted through a megaphone outside the jail.

Several hundred supporters of Qadri blocked a road outside the jail and chanted slogans. Some recited verses from the Quran while members of the Sunni Tehreek group waved their party’s green and yellow flags.

A Qadri supporter, wiping tears from his face, said: “We don’t accept this. We don’t accept this.”

Police were deployed at the jail gate to prevent any break-in. After Qadri was sentenced, the judge left through the back door.

In Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh area, where former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in December 2007, about 1,000 angry Qadri supporters blocked a main road with burning tyres.

Shouting slogans against the government and the judge who sentenced Qadri, they forced shops to shut down.

Stick-wielding protesters attacked passing vehicles.

“This decision was made to please the Jewish lobby,” said Sahibzada Ata-ur-Rehman, a leader of the Sunni Tehreek.

Qadri, a constable in the Punjab Police and a member of its Elite Force, tried to justify his murder of the governor by stating that he had killed him for supporting Aasia Bibi, a Christian woman whom Taseer had believed had been wrongly convicted of committing blasphemy.

According to Qadri’s statement, he had approached the governor on the evening of January 4 and tried to talk to him about Taseer’s very public support for Aasia Bibi and his advocacy of reform – not repeal – of the blasphemy laws.

Beautiful Visitors and Some Prints

Last Sunday I had the privilege to make two new friends, one blog reader from local Malaysia, and one visitor from the USA. Originally we were supposed to be shooting on the streets of Pudu that includes the large open air wet market where I have used for almost all my gear review purposes. Unfortunately, the sky rained like it never rained before for the whole morning, so we decided to just sit down and have some drinks instead. 

We also stopped by the camera store at Pudu Plaza, YL Camera and I chanced upon some sample shots taken with the latest Olympus cameras, PEN E-PL5 and Stylus XZ-2. Suddenly, I felt like the urge to explore those sample prints and as I flipped through the calendar styled flipcard, I found my own photographs, there in prints !! I remembered Olympus Malaysia did request a few photographs from my reviews to be used for advertising a while ago. It was such a pleasant surprise to see my own name under the photographs. I know this is not much, but simple things like this can make a very happy Robin, and I think the smile lasted on my face for the rest of the day. 

I have met Tai Foong before when I was shooting with Shaun at Petaling Street, and it was nice meeting up another fellow street photographer, someone who is also familiar with what I have been doing all this time. I took a photograph of him back then, and he politely requested me not to post that photo on my blog. It was about a week ago Tai Foong emailed me and asked if he could join me for my shutter therapy session. Of course !! Everyone is welcome !!

About the same time, Tony from the USA also emailed me, and asked if we could meet up and perhaps have a shutter therapy session together. I thought the timing was great, because I could form a small group of people for this session. Tony has been using the Olympus OM-D and discovered the joy of using smaller and lighter camera system, yet producing amazing photographs. I envy Tony and his wife, they are spending 18 months travelling all over the world !! I just cannot imagine all kinds of photographs that he is going to have the opportunity to shoot. Suddenly I felt like leaving my world behind and travel too without worrying much about anything else, but reality is never that kind. 

I had to leave by noon, because I had a lunch appointment at 2pm. The rain stopped just when I was about to leave. Tai Foong and Tony went on with their shooting. I felt very bad for not being able to shoot with them, but hey, surely there will be future chances. I have a strong feeling this is not the last time Tony is visiting Malaysia. And I know I will be seeing Tai Foong really soon.

I did think that having this blog, spending all that crazy amount of time updating and maintaining it, all these become worthwhile when I get to meet people like Tony and Tai Foong. It was as if what I was doing was important and did matter for some people, and all my effort did count for something. 

To Tony, thanks for looking me up when you were here in KL, I hope you enjoyed the dim sum we had, and surely it would be nice to catch up again if you do stop by KL anytime. Tai Foong, lets shoot some streets soon !

Prometheus movie is a science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and it will be recommended to watch in 3D because of its digital graphic which will help you to enhance the movie ghastly surrounding and eerie atmosphere. However, I like the brilliant fight between the Alien (Monster) and the human, some part of the scene might be too bloody but overall it’s still gave the impact to the audience.


“The search for our beginning could lead to our end” – Prometheus movie also wanted to tell her us that, the way how human is created, the way how alien can be created too. Moral of story, as long as life things is created; there is a way to destroy. There is always an undiscovered story leading against us if we wanted to find it out without access their permission. Overall, I rate this Prometheus movie 3/5 star.

Prometheus Movie Synopsis:
Alien artifacts found at archaeological digs in Africa reveal that humans were actually genetically engineered by aliens. Among some of the finds, were the coordinates to this “Alien God’s” home word, to Paradise. Weyland Corp launches a spaceship, known as PROMETHEUS and his crew to meet their makers.

Upon arrival, the crew are greeted and transported further into a terrifying yet fascinating world. As a reward, these Alien Gods share their knowledge in bio-based technologies with the humans. But one of the crew steals the “bio-source code”, the technology that started it all, the power to make Gods and humans equal.

Being unable to accept the fact, the Alien Gods unleash a bio- weapon, against the humans. But the tables turn and it is used against the makers, giving birth to a smarter, bigger, more bloody-thirsty creature. And now the crew is left with the task to make it out safely, before all hell breaks loose.

6th Anniversary of Devastating Earthquake Have we learnt any lessons

8th October 2005 was the day when people in Pakistan saw the earthquake and its devastating effects. We saw people going down and we saw people rising up, rising above the angels. We in Islamabad felt the jolt and then witnessed numerous casualties. Luckily it was the holly month of Ramadan when the Muslims were fasting and their sprits were very high.

After this devastation which left over 75,000 dead and over 200,000 seriously injured a great rescue efforts began. This was characterized by individual sense of responsibilities. The Government except Health Ministry was hardly visible. The initial efforts were all carried out by volunteers on their own.

It will be surely a stupid thing to say that earthquake was a blessing. It was a punishment for our many deeds. It can be a blessing only if we amend our behavior so that we do not get severer penalty in the Hereafter where we will see every good deed of weight of an atom and we shall see every bad deed of weight of an atom and when a person will like to distant him/herself from bad deeds like the distance of skies and the earth.

The spiritual and mental status does have direct effect on physical health and community health. Immoral behaviors lead to AIDS and alcoholism and people fell prey to IMF and World Bank AIDS which are no less sever threat to mankind.

The people of Pakistan and Pakistanis living abroad responded like no one. They helped like no one in the modern times. We saw these above angel people who donated entire chemist shops, entire bakeries; soon there were trucks full of goods like a chain of ants and millions of volunteers doing good acts. May Allah accept all these and turn this nation into a torch bearer and make this nation a leader of the world. Aameen.

Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad being the premium most hospital and tertiary care center played a very crucial and pivotal role in all spheres of relief operations of Earthquake. The 8th October 2005 earthquake was one of the most devastating human disasters. It occurred in first Ashra (Ten days) of the holy month of Ramzan that is also known as the Ashra of Rahmah (Blessings). There was special Rahmah (Blessing) on twin cities that miraculously saved from great devastations despite the jolts of very high severity. Almost all Pakistanis were fasting and were in high spiritual mode. This resulted in very quick and generous response with intelligent use of resources matching almost the severity of the earthquake. The entire nation and Muslim Ummah acted as one solid team who knew what to do and when to do. The generosity and selflessness created great examples to be followed. Al-Hamdolillah a great work underwent towards relief and rehabilitation. Honorable Health Minister, Secretary Health along with their entire team were holding twice daily meeting at PIMS to review the overall situation and take swift and immediate actions.

The earthquake of 8th Oct. 2005 was 7.6 on the Richter Magnitude Scale that struck the northern region of Pakistan has had a tremendous toll on human and their meager belongings. It wiped out the entire villages and killed more than 100,000 people including many school children trapped under the rubbles of the school buildings. And while relief operation began pouring in very soon after the quake, it became apparent that it was not an easy task to deliver help and aid where needed. At this traumatic juncture, human ingenuity and worldwide response allowed us to scale horizons never dreamed in the past. Al-Hamdolillah Pakistanis proved themselves a great nation. Pakistani nation has set an example for other nations of the world to follow. The earthquake has proved yet again that the people of this society are courageous, God-fearing, affectionate and caring.

Conclusion

It is heartening that Pakistanis living in Pakistan and abroad, Muslims and World at large rapidly and swiftly moved into action to help suffering humanity in 8th October 2005 earthquake. PIMS acted as the hub for many of these activities.

PIMS Al-Hamdolillah provided a glaring example. PIMS All the Departments played their due share. The PIMS had organized one of the most elaborate volunteers system which provided blood, material and manpower help in carrying out procedures, laboratory tests, food, water and drug supply. Over 800 volunteers were registered by the Department of Pathology at Islamabad Hospital. The profiteers and quakes were not allowed to take advantage of the situation. Without the help of these volunteers the hospital would have not coped with such magnitude of disaster. Al-Hamdolillah we came out highly successful and now we are on the way of long-term rehabilitation and reconstruction path.

Have we learnt any lessons?

Our nation needs to learn lessons before it is too late. Let us on this 6th Anniversary of the devastating earthquake do some soul searching. Where were our failures? Why most of the money is not spent on the rehabilitation and went into the pockets of corrupts. Are we more prepared? We did not have equipments to quickly remove the debris of the buildings. Mere lip services are not sufficient. Only those nations survive which do vry firm and quick accountability. We have yet to see Hamoodur Rehman report implementation on devastation of loss of East Pakistan, Negligent and criminals in civilians and Khakis have not been brought o justice. Not punishing the criminals create heavily fertilized for growth of more future monsters. It is the responsibility of an independent judiciary to punish the top criminals to stop this visiciou circle, cycle and circus once for all.
